What students are saying

“Mack has been by far my favorite and most effective piano teacher!
I’m a humble intermediate, and so Mack has been able to easily answer any question I ask or to demonstrate any technique I’m curious about. Examples of this might be my asking what’s going on in a particular measure where a chord is implicitly there but with very few notes to give it away or what improvisation would sound like using various scales or techniques. Additionally, Mack has a great personal touch in commending my incremental progress while also pushing me forward just the right amount.”

- Yotam A.

“I think it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made musically because it’s allowed me to do everything I wanted to with music, which is play with other people, create music and have a blast.”

- Curtis

“Almost every week I do something I’ve never done before, and once in a while when I do that I jump up from the piano and I say, ‘Holy cow, what was that!’ It’s a lot of fun.”

- Mark

“I have definitely gained a wider and broader understanding of harmony and chords, because (jazz piano) is centered around harmonic structures and chords, and I knew some of that before but definitely now it’s a whole new world, and it’s very cool. "
